Avocado, egg, and olive oil mask
The issue: Damage. Your hair can get damaged from a variety of sources: the use of styling tools, the environment (hello, pollution!), hair dye and more. The good news: it can be fixed.
Zingarino recommends an olive oil and avocado mask. "Packed full of omega-3 fatty acids, this hair treatment provides the ultimate strength and shine for your hair," she said. It’s also full of antioxidants which help fight off free radicals, which is especially great for city dwellers. Joel Warren of The Salon Project is also a big fan of an avocado-based mask, as it "helps to rejuvenate and moisturize the scalp."
Ingredients: Half an avocado, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of olive oil ,and 1 tablespoon of honey.
Directions: Apply to wet hair with your fingertips, starting at the bottom and working your way up. Warren suggests wrapping your hair into a bun and covering with a shower cap. To help activate the ingredients, blow dry your shower cap-covered hair for 10 minutes. Then let it sit for another 20 minutes and wash out in the shower.
